Our Landscape Design Process
We begin by photographing your site and noting all the key elements related to your project. We then either work from your existing property survey or schedule a second site visit to take detailed measurements of all features within the design area.
Using these measurements, we create a detailed base plan in CAD software. From there, we conduct another on-site design visit to explore ideas, gather inspiration, and sketch early concepts. This step often includes viewing the space from inside your home to understand how indoor and outdoor areas connect.
Design Only or Full Installation
You can purchase our design services separately or a comprehensive plan that includes design and installation. During design development, we can provide rough installation cost ranges to help guide material and layout decisions.
When you’re ready to move forward with installation, we create a separate cost proposal for materials and labor, which has its own approval process and schedule.
For our designed gardens and landscapes, we will be there for plant and garden consultation through two springs after the installation, with the option of purchasing more consultation and care time afterward.
Deposits, Deliverables & Timeline
- Design Payment Schedule – To begin the design process, a minimum deposit is required along with your completed client questionnaire, with the balance due at the final presentation meeting.
- Queue & Delivery Time – Projects are scheduled in the design queue upon receipt of the questionnaire and site measurements. Once begun, most designs take 4-8 weeks to complete, depending on complexity.
