How We Work – From First Conversation to Finished Project
Our Client-Focused Design & Installation Process
We believe every great landscape project starts with a clear process, open communication, and a shared vision. Our landscape design and installation services in Georgia are built around a collaborative, step-by-step approach — from the first conversation to the final planting.
Stage 1: Initial Conversation
The process begins with a phone call. This is our chance to learn about your project, goals, site history, and any concerns you have. You’ll also get to know us — how we work, our values, and the types of projects we take on.
If it feels like a good fit, we’ll schedule an in-person initial site visit.
Stage 2: Initial Site Visit
During our first visit, we walk the property together, talk about what you like and dislike about the existing landscape, and explore possibilities.
We evaluate:
- Sunlight and shade patterns
- Soil conditions
- Site history and existing features
- Potential challenges and inspiring focal points
We also provide a general timeline for the design process. If you’re ready to proceed, we’ll prepare a detailed design cost proposal with scope, schedule, and payment terms.
Stage 3: Customer Input
Before we start designing, we gather more details through a short client questionnaire. This helps clarify preferences for plants, colors, hardscaping materials, and any “must-have” or “avoid” items. At this stage, we may request a property survey, depending on the complexity of the project.
Stage 4: Design Phase
We document the site through photographs and measurements, using property surveys or additional site visits as needed. These measurements are entered into CAD software to create a detailed base plan.
The design process includes:
- Developing early concepts and sketches
- Reviewing sightlines from inside the home
- Creating a preliminary plant list and hardscape material options
- Holding a concept meeting for your feedback
- Making refinements and finalizing the plan
Once the design is approved, you’ll have the option to hire us for full installation or use the plan with another contractor.
